Gripsholms Vaerdshus Hotel - Mariefred

The lavish suites at Gripsholms Vardshus are absolutely stunning! The rooms are individually designed and have a cozy, romantic feel. The heated bathroom floors are a luxurious touch that adds to the overall comfort. As a light sleeper, I really appreciated the tranquility of these rooms. It was the perfect retreat for a peaceful night's sleep.

Personally, I found one feature less enjoyable. The seating area in some of the units felt a bit cramped.

For the price we paid, we definitely got our money's worth. The suite we were upgraded to was spacious and had a unique layout with an attic bedroom. The hotel's location was beautiful, situated by a picturesque lake and just opposite the fine Gripsholm castle. The staff at the bar were super friendly and helpful, even though they were really busy.

One thing that could have improved the breakfast experience was the variety of breakfast items.

The breakfast provided at the hotel. the options were limited and the quality of the food was not up to par.

We stayed in an oceanfront hotel in a small town with a castle across the bay, perfect for a weekend getaway. the restaurant offered meals in a quaint setting by the water's edge. the hotel provides bicycles and steam train rides to neighbouring locations. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely fully tiled bathroom. the breakfast buffet was good, and they even offered self-service waffles.

The cleanliness of the outside bar and sitting area needs improvement.

griphsholms vardshus had an amazing view of the lake and castle. room was ok - but breakfast was great. the hotel was clean and in a good location. the staff were helpful and accommodating - especially during our stay for my father's funeral service.

We had a wonderful stay with fine views of the castle and a fantastic location right in the heart of town. The hotel facilities were clean, and the staff was lovely. We had a great breakfast with a wide selection of delicious and organic products. We also appreciated the convenient parking and transportation options.

We had a great romantic escape! the historical building gave our stay a unique feeling. the location was amazing, just a short walk from the castle and the breathtaking scenery surrounding it. We particularly enjoyed the cozy bar and the delicious food options at the on-site restaurant. the room was also very comfortable and clean, with a great view.

the Wi-Fi was not very strong in our room, making it difficult to stay connected.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was an excellent choice! The daily lunch was outstanding, offering a soup starter, salad, drink, main course. Good value for great quality in a calm atmosphere with first-class service. We also loved the spacious and comfortable room with a nice view, perfect for relaxing. Finally, the oceanfront location in the center of a small town and near a royal castle offered the opportunity to explore the area while enjoying the stunning views.

Although we enjoyed our stay, there were some drawbacks. The hotel staff was friendly, but they seemed understaffed, giving a sloppy appearance in the indoor and outdoor scenes.
